Fact-Checking Policy

Writers at Attraction Numérique must be precise in their choice of words for their texts, titles, and social media posts. They must be aware of the importance of words and act responsibly at all times. As such, writers must fact-check the information they gather. This includes identification information such as names and positions, as well as factual statements and reports. Writers conduct their own fact-checking using their judgment, guided by the Attraction Numérique code of ethics.

Correction Policy

When a Attraction Numérique writer notices an error in a text, it is their duty to immediately make the necessary correction. For typos, minor grammatical and factual errors, simply correcting it is enough and there is no need to indicate the change. In the case of factual errors or misidentification of a person, an erratum may be published to ensure that everything is rectified.

Code of Ethics

Purpose of the Code of Ethics: The fundamental purpose is to protect the impartiality and neutrality of Attraction Numérique and the integrity of its articles. Each staff member is expected to carefully read these rules and comply with them to the extent that they apply to their duties.

Compliance with this Code

Attraction Numérique takes this code of ethics very seriously. All Attraction Numérique employees are responsible for complying with all aspects of this code. All new employees are required to read this code at the beginning of their employment and adhere to it throughout their entire contract.

The issues addressed by this code are important enough that any lapse of judgment in the areas covered may be considered serious enough to warrant disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Any employee who questions a potential violation of this code, whether by themselves or another employee, or who becomes aware that they or another employee is involved in a relationship that could reasonably give rise to a real or apparent conflict of interest, must promptly discuss the situation with their immediate supervisor. Every effort will be made to preserve the confidentiality of these discussions. Attraction Numérique will not authorize or tolerate any form of retaliation against an employee who makes a good faith report of a potential code violation by another employee. Please consult the HR team if you have any questions regarding this.

Conflicts of Interest

Promotion/Links: It is unacceptable for anyone at Attraction Numérique to accept money or any other compensation in exchange for promotion/links, etc. in an article, especially if the relationship is not disclosed. In some cases, our company may be paid for content; these situations must be clearly disclosed.

Employees cannot be members of any board of directors that would constitute a conflict of interest with the company. Staff members must disclose information about any board of directors they are currently members of or are considering joining to determine if there is a conflict.

Plagiarism

At Attraction Numérique, as in most media organizations, we have a strict policy against plagiarism. Any form of plagiarism will be immediately sanctioned and may be grounds for termination.

Fairness

Writers must seek both sides of the story by giving those who are the subject of negative accusations the opportunity to respond. Writers seek to convey the accusations in detail and allow for a full response.
