The worlds of media and business have been a playground for Sylvain Chamberland since 1988.
Formerly President of Radiomédia, General Manager at TVA, Chief Information & Current Affairs Officer at Radio-Canada, Vice-President of Business Development at Québécor Média, and General Manager of the QMI Agency, it was in 2011 that Sylvain Chamberland and Richard Speer joined forces to launch Attraction Radio. In less than 6 years, Attraction Radio acquired 15 stations and successfully carved out its place among the three largest regional radio broadcasters in Quebec.
Sylvain Chamberland's determination and leadership led him to win the "Manager of the Year" award in 2003, granted by the School of Management Sciences at UQAM. In September 2016, Richard Speer appointed him to Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Attraction Media to enhance the group's efficiency and profitability, while continuing to operate in an environment that promotes talent, creativity and entrepreneurship.
In October 2016, Sylvain Chamberland was re-elected, for a third year, to the position of President of the French-Speaking Regional Radio Association. He also sits on the board of CEOs for the Canadian Association of Radio Broadcasters and on the board of directors of the Musicaction Foundation.
Without forgetting his participation, since 2015, in the Forces Avenir Gala as a member of the Grand Jury and his recent adherence to the Advisory Committee of the Children's Wish Foundation. It is through his constant involvement that this seasoned entrepreneur wants to share his passion for media, both for Attraction Radio and for the entire Attraction Media group.
